And don’t forget to check out the review we did for the film here.

Thanks to Fox we had the honour to Watch “Wather for Elephants” before the Australian premiere of the film.  This is our review for the film, and remember there is no absolute true in any review, you have to go to your local cinema and watch the film, there is no better critic than yourself!

Based on the best-selling book by Sara Gruen, Water for elephants, directed by Francis Lawrence (Constantine, I am legend) tells the story about Jacob (Robert Pattinson), a veterinary student who lose everything after his parents are killed in a car accident.

Searching for a new life Jacob gets into a train that will change his life forever. The train is nothing else than a traveling circus managed by temperamental August interpreted by brilliant Oscar winner actor Christoph Waltz. To do things more complicated his beautiful wife Marlena (Oscar winner Reese Whiterspoon) and her horses are the main attraction of the circus attracting Jacob from the first moment.

The film shows the dark and at the same time colorful life in the circus. August hire Jacob as the circus vet and buys “Rosie” the new attraction, a majestic elephant that will be the new main act. The training with Rosie and Marlena establishes a new status in the relation between August and the young vet to became friends and of course the forbidden love between Jacob and Marlena.

One of the great things of the film is the way it shows the love story using a non typical way as you might think after seen the posters for the film. Moreover, the love story is not the main topic, because is all about the circus’ life supported by a world-class actor like Christoph Waltz. The characters are developed in a way to keep the story going the entire time making the audience been part of the crowd at the circus.

Another remarkable think is the use of animals in the film, it’s true there are some CGI on them, but the scenes with the horses and Rossie, the elephant were made thanks of the hard training of the actors for the film, making the scenes with a total realistic focus.

The drama based in the 30’s have remarkable photography,  gorgeous cinematography and production design with fantastic scenes of the circus and their acts, that brings you back to your childhood memories and the magic of the circus. Moreover, the great performance of Christoph Waltz as the evil and sadistic circus manager and fragile Reese Whiterspoon as the object of both Pattinson and Waltz’ affections make this film a must watch love story and be aware because the ending will blow you away and Welcome to the most spectacular show on Earth!

Remember, our reviews don’t have the absolute truth. We share the idea that there is no review 100% accurate, because we think that everyone has to be their own critic and the best way to do a review of a film, a concert, etc is doing it yourself, going and experiencing all “on the spot”, so if you like circus stories, you wanna see High class actors performing together or if you want to see Robert Pattinson in a role different than Twilight, “Water for Elephants” is a must watch film and don’t forget to let us know what do you think of the movie.

In addition to this, don’t forget about the Australian premiere of the film this friday May 6 at Sydney’s STATE THEATRE (Market Street) with Academy Award(r) winning actress Reese Witherspoon and  Robert Pattinson walking the red carpet alongside some local Australian celebrities.

The God of Thunder had his world premiere last Sunday April 17th in Sydney and we had the honour to watch the film at the venue. This is our review for this big superhero blockbuster film, and remember there is no absolute true in any review, you have to go to your local cinema and watch the film, there is no better critic than yourself!

Director and actor Kenneth Branagh brings to us the adaptation of this Marvel Super hero to the big screen, with our fair dinkun australian superstar Chris Hemsworth playing the lead role of “Thor” alongside the great Anthony Hopkins, Natalie Portman, Rene Russo, Tom Hiddleston and Jaimie Alexander.

The film centers the story in the exile of Thor to the Earth and the conflict between he and his father and brother Loki, because of his arrogant and impulsive behavior, which disturbed the peace between the Asgardians and their ancient foes, the Frost Giants of Jotunheim. This issue makes Thor been punished after almost assume the throne of Asgard from Odin.

The film, follows the code of every film with the unique style of the Marvel franchise with lot of references to the previous films like Ironman, Hulk, to the upcoming “The Avengers”, and obviously with Marvel’s king Stan lee having his classic cameo “somewhere” during the movie.

In therms of acting, Chris Hemsworth does a good job as The God of Thunder, acting like a barbarian, a true warrior, like he was born to play the character. Furthermore, he shows a funny side in some scenes thanks to his co-stars as well. It’s not easy to play a super hero and our Aussie stars does a terrific job.

The film itself has a great art direction specially in the design of Asgard with so many details very close to the artworks from some of the classic Marvel comic book series. Moreover, the special effects of the film and the 3D worked very well confirming that the latest state of the art was used to made the film.

Action is not missed in the film, they are epic battles in Asgard and the Earth during the film, some classic villains like Thor’s enemy “The Destroyer” and of course with The God of Thunder using his favourite weapon, the marvelous hammer “Mjöllnir”.

Thor is a fun movie, and perfectly linked with Ironman I, II and The Incredible Hulk and for sure will be linked to captain America as well…all the elements are there, ready for the biggest super hero film of all times: The Avengers.

Kenneth Branagh’s “Thor” is a must watch film for all ages and specially for the comic book fans…pure and fun entertainment!, and please DON’T FORGET TO WATCH THE FILM UNTIL THE END OF THE CREDITS…you will see a really nice surprise there and also we invite you to check our full coverage “On The Spot” of the world premiere of “Thor” held at Event cinemas, George Street in Sydney last Sunday 17 of April.

The God of Thunder will hit cinemas in 3D on May 6, 2011.

Remember, our reviews don’t have the absolute truth, actually we share the idea that there is no review 100% accurate, because we think that everyone has to be their own critic and the best way to do a review of a film, a concert, etc is doing it yourself, going and experiencing all “on the spot”…so don’t wait and go to see “THOR” and give us your personal opinion of the film.

The world premiere of  Kenneth Branagh’s “Thor” was held on Sunday April 17th at Event Cinemas George street. It had a massive media coverage, lots of  A-lister guests and of course the most important thing: tons of fans waiting long time to see their favourite stars.

Walking the red carpet fans got close to our very own Australian superstar Chris Hemsworth who plays the lead role in the film as “Thor” joined by director Kenneth Branagh, who attracted some Harry Potter fans, thanks to his role as Professor Gilderoy Lockhart in “Harry Potter and the Chamber of secrets“. Moreover, co-stars, the gorgeous actress Jaimie Alexander who plays the role of Thor’s friend “Sif” and Tom Hiddleston who plays Thor’s brother “Loki” join them in the carpet.

Other local celebrities walked the red carpet: Lincoln Lewis, Tim Pocock, and Todd Lasance as part of the cast from Home and Away, who came to support his old mate Chris Hemsworth. Rebecca Breeds, TV personality Jamie Durie, actors from Pack to the Rafters and a special last minute guest, Dutch singer pop star Eva Simons.

People at the red carpet got postcards and sharpies to get autographs, but that doesn’t stopped the fact that the red carpet was in some moments a bit chaotic, with no proper area set up for the thousand fans around and inside the cinema, just a small space for them along George Street. However, despite this issue the event worked in a normal way with the stars trying to stop as much as they could for photos and autographs, only been rushed inside by their publicist in order to don’t delay the schedule for media and the screenings.

We have to mention a really good example of how a star should be: Tom Hiddeston (Loki) who spent more time than every guest there signing and posing for photos, taking time to actually talk with all the people at the red carpet and even ignoring his publicist who was pushing him to dismiss the fans and go inside (Good one!).

Overall was a really good event, a world premiere in Australia is always welcome and we look forward to have more of this events here in our country, but please don’t forget the fans who wait hours and hours just to spend a second with their idols…they deserve a big reward for it!

Here enjoy some exclusive pictures from the red carpet below:

And stay tuned, because we hope to have some “Thor” giveaways soon…also we watched the film so don’t forget to check our review, it will come really soon!
