Earlier this year Future Music Festival put on one hell of a party with a line-up that included Franz Ferdinand and Empire Of The Sun and the festival’s promoters are promising even bigger things for 2011 with an event made up of “nothing but straight aces.”

The line-up for the 2011 Future Music Festival will be announced next Thursday October 14th in FasterLouder and, giving you just enough time to let it all sink in, tickets for the event will go on sale two weeks later on Thursday October 28th.

MySpace has announced that ten piece folk-rock troubadours, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros supported by Blue Mountains four piece Cloud Control will be making a special MySpace Secret Show appearance in Melbourne on Thursday March 25th.

Having sold out all other Melbourne appearances, this FREE Secret Show will be the only other opportunity fans have to Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros and be taken on a journey of psychedelic proportions as they showcase tracks from their debut album ‘Up From Below’ – including their radio smash “HOME”.

The only way fans can find out specific details about this exclusive and intimate gig is by going to www.myspace.com/secretshowsau and registering their mobile number on the profile from March 15th. Once the secret location details of the gig are revealed, these will be sent directly to phones of registered users and entry works on a first-come-first-served basis.

…YES SHE IS! and for an special tea time this Saturday February 20th at midday (AEST) MySpace will host the exclusive LIVE stream of Tim Burton’s ALICE IN WONDERLAND, the ultimate fan event:  www.myspace.com/wonderland, powered by Ustream.

You can’t miss the opportunity to watch and participate in  this massive event directly from Hollywood. Be ready, because you will watch  exclusive backstage interviews with your favourite celebrities and interact by posting comments and questions to the page.

The concert event start at 5 p.m. on Feb. 19, at the Hollywood & Highland Center’s Central Courtyard.  Featuring 5 musical acts, a visit from Tim Burton to introduce select members of the “ALICE IN WONDERLAND”.

The event’s featured artists will do a short set, including their song from the upcomming album “Almost Alice,” who it will be released March 2, 2010. Artists/songs include 3OH!3 (“Follow Me Down”), Metro Station (“Where’s My Angel”), Family Force 5 (“Topsy Turvy”), Kerli (“Tea Party”), and Never Shout Never (“Sea What We Seas”) and the the film’s end credit track “Alice,” written and performed by Avril Lavigne. Others artists including All American Rejects, The Cure’s Robert Smith, Franz Ferdinand and Shinedown.

The Event: Hot Topic’s Hollywood locale will be transformed to a mad version of Wonderland. Alice in wonderland-themed products are now available at Hot Topic stores nationwide and online.  Beginning Monday, February 8, the first 250 customers who purchase any 3OH!3 t-shirt and preorder the “Almost Alice” CD will receive a wristband that will grant access to a special meet-and-greet with the band 3OH!3, entry into the concert’s preferred viewing pit and admission into the special 3D sneak peek of footage from the film at the El Capitan Theatre after the concert event.

KIIS-FM, 104.3 MyFM and 98.7 FM will give away VIP preferred viewing pit wristbands to listeners between now and event day.  Additional VIP tickets will be given away via MySpace, Facebook and Twitter. VIP attendees will be treated to a special 3D sneak peek of footage from the film at Hollywood’s El Capitan Theatre immediately following the event.

Fans are going to be dress up in costumes inspired by the film and  they will be judged on site by Academy Award®-winner Colleen Atwood, costume designer for the film.  Winners will be invited to attend the special sneak peek at the El Capitan.

ALICE IN WONDERLAND, directed by Tim Burton comes an epic 3D fantasy adventure this March 5, 2010 for digital cinemas and IMAX.
