The Chaser, Guineafowl and Dappled Cities confirmed for 12 week trial period!

FBi Radio today made their first programming announcement for the much anticipated pop up venue FBi Social, opening for a 12 week trial period on the second floor of the refurbished Kings Cross Hotel.

Kicking off Friday 25th March, The FBi Social line up includes some of Sydney’s best emerging and established indie bands, as well as electronic music running the gamut of styles, including cutting edge beats, hip hop, UK garage, 80s electro boogie funk, experimental glitch and much more.

An official launch party in collaboration with the Kings Cross Hotel is scheduled for Friday 8th April, with Dappled Cities to headline and other exciting acts soon to be announced.

FBi is delighted to have Alberts as a major sponsor of the FBi Social, which will open every Thursday, Friday and Saturday night, as well as the odd Wednesday and Sunday for specially curated arts and performance events.

The guys from The Chaser will use the FBi Social as a platform to develop a totally new live talk event, The Empty Vessel, with their first gig booked for Wednesday 20th April.

FBi SOCIAL WEEKLY LINE UP

Thursday nights, FBi have handed the reigns to a few of their flagship specialist shows. New Weird Australia, The Bridge, Radiant, and In The Pines vs Tune Up will take turns bringing audiences the very best in live music, with the majority of the bands being from Sydney.

On Fridays the focus is all things dance, DJ and electronica, with evenings presented by TwoThousand and Pedestrian, as well as regular nights from Club Future Beat and Golden Era. A one-off hip hop collaboration between Big Village and Sketch The Rhyme will also feature on Friday 13th May.

Saturday, it’s an indie music bonanza, with an incredible selection of bands from Australia and beyond. So far the line-up includes FBi SMAC Award winners Guineafowl, AMP nominated Pikelet, the DZ Deathrays, Ernest Ellis, and the band everyone’s talking about, Bleeding Knees Club.
