The team is back and the cars are ready to hit the road! The Fast and Furious saga continues with “Fast Five“. This is our review for the film, and remember there is no absolute true in any review, you have to go to your local cinema and watch the film, there is no better critic than yourself!

Director Justin Lin is back with his favourite saga and he did not come back alone, because the original team is also back with Vin Diesel, Paul Walker and Jordana Brewster. But what makes this film a “cult film” for the Fast and Furious fans is that not only they came back…the whole gang from previous films are also here: Tyrese Gibson, LudacrisMatt Schulze, Sung Kang just to name some. With the inclusion of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Elsa Pataky to complete a cast full of stars.

The story of the film is centered in Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) and his crew, trying to find themselves on the wrong side of the law once again as they try to switch lanes between a ruthless drug lord and a relentless federal agent (The Rock), with all the action happening in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The film begins exactly where the 4th movie ended and from there so much action goes on with epic hot pursuit sequences, bullets and some one on one fights, giving Fast Five all the elements to keep going with the saga, that for sure fans will love and that might be the only small issue of the film, because you need to be aware of what happened in the previous films to enjoy the movie at 100%. However, this is not an excuse because this is an action film and can be enjoyable for everyone who wants to have some time full of adrenaline and testosterone.

Fast five includes one scene specially made for the “die-hard” fans of the saga, one street race that will keep you in your seat picking up your favourite candidate to win. Add to that some explosions and a total destruction of the city with catchy quotes and funny moments all together. Furthermore, this 5th part has some sequences similar to films like “Ocean Eleven” due to the elaborations of some plans the gang has to put in action with scenes with and without cars.

Another thing to consider in the film as usual is the music, this time with a total Latin style and is pretty obvious if one of the new additions to the cast is Reggeaton sensation “Don Omar“, who also plays the role of  “Santos“, one of the funniest characters of the film.

Fast Five does what it has to do,  it’s an action film, full of testosterone, nice cars, hot chicks, explosions, bullets and as a bonus with a “fan choice” fight between Diesel and Johnson in between. A film made for people who loves cars, action and for sure a sequel made thinking on the loyal fans of the saga…One more thing: don`t leave the cinema without watch the ending credits…”something really cool happens in between” and for sure if you are a crazy fan of the saga this will make you leave the place with a big smile.

Fast Five will race to cinemas in Australia on Thursday, April 21th.

Remember, our reviews don’t have the absolute truth, actually we share the idea that there is no review 100% accurate, because we think that everyone has to be their own critic and the best way to do a review of a film, a concert, etc is doing it yourself, going and experiencing all “on the spot”…so put your engine on and be ready to Race to your local cinema to see Fast Five, a must for all the fans of the saga and the cars.
